I have made another small update but with many interesting improves. The unique thing which I have not added, it is Scarif and all the new planets which I will add in the non too far future.
This is the list of additions: -Fixed CIS heroes research in Total War. -Added research building builded in Total War playing with the additional factions. -Improved resistance builded starbases pads. -Added Anakin Eta 2 Force Confuse ability. -Added ObiWan Eta 2 Targeted Invulnerability ability. -Ground infantry teams spawned, all them with a platoon leader. -Fighters/Bomber shield recharge improved. Adding differences between much powerful and less powerful. -Heroe small ships shield recharge improved. -Difficulty settings improved. Differences between hard, medium and easy are bigger. -Leveled multipliers from AI in the hard level preventing the AI making strange things in combat and breaking the very customized damages. -Improved Rebellion research levels for the Insurrection planets. -Added Kamino station at Belderone from the Insurrection GC. -Improved planet radar image in galactic mode.
Change of plans. After be playing the Insurrection GC with more of 160 planets, many of them hidden in the begining. I am not happy with the performance. It can run but with a lot of lag and I do not like play with lag. As I could see years ago, hidden or not hidden a planet, it does not affect to the performance. It is bad always if there are more of 120 more or less planets.
By this reason. I go to add a new GC with a smaller number of planets, some of them new, most of them or all them relevant, planets where there were some type of action. This new GC will be more similar to the previous concept with some hidden planets but starting with some initial forces.
About other possible improves. Perhaps you knew this but I did not see how it had a full galaxy www.swgalaxymap.com/ with all the SW planets and their coordinates. I have been looking it slowly and probably I will try to make a galaxy with these coordinates. At least as the initial positions because probably it will require some corrections because some planets can be too close. But it deserves be tried.
Why did you change the Six man imperial engineer squad to two men?
I love the six man engineer squad, especially for the end game when I am bored to taking planets with veers and his support armies. I like the challenge of taking a six man squad of engineers to take over an enemy planet, with no other unit support and only bombardment and bombing runs. It's a typical day of conquest for the imperial engineers. At max population, and more credits than I could ever spend, using a just squad of engineers seems to be the perfect challenge for the end game.
I uploaded the fix for the infantry now. Speaking about previous released files. I discovered how most of the lag playing was product in my computer from the nvidia low lactency mod activated. Without it activated and with a new galactic speed value, now set to 1.0, 3 points less than the default 4.0. The mod running bigger GCs runs more smoother. It will not be perfect playing GCs as the Insurrection but it can be played. I have been playing it in my old i5 without troubles.
The biggest difference from this lower galactic speed, it is the hyperspace movement, much lower but I like it because before it was too fast. Now the differences between a trade route and normal space are big. In a future, I will add more trade routes probably in some GC.
However, I go to make a smaller Insurrection GC.
Another change is the lock/unlock planets in the Insurrection, planets will be unlock but not locked again. There will be more and more planets active but it will not be a problem because most of them will be in your hands.
For end. Most of the lag problems were caused by the AI moving many units between planets with a higher speed. I was thinking lately how I could increase the speed from the human player only and decrease the speed from the AI but.....I like the smaller speed, it is good, specially because you see more differences between some faster units and the trade routes. In additions, the time between attacks is a bit more longer and it is good. You can get more credits, prepare your defenses and more. The lower galactic speed does not affect to the building and you will build units as before.
The work with the GC where several planets are showed by sectors continues. But There will be several improves in all the other GCs. As you can watch in the video, I am working at improve the Rebellion GC with all the planets and much more other things.
This is one of the new variants from the Raddus. It will add almost the double of turrets. 68 vs 36.
That's cool, is that going to be like a Raddus MK. II, or the actual firepower it should have had before it got passed from the New Republic to the Resistance? I always thought that the Raddus was stripped down because of the lower crew members and second tier weapons.
It is not a MKII. It will follow the way with the versions from other Mon Calamary cruisers as the MC80. There will be a GC with the New Republic from Disney and the First Order growing in the unknown sectors.
More additions. This will be the CatoNeimodia ground map in one special mission from the new Insurrection by sectors GC. The map is from DarkGrazi. Each sector can have missions in different planets and eras.
