Regarding this topic, I noticed some ships or space stations are able to hit star bases from half across (or the whole) map. Have you considered lowering the range for the capital ships or space stations? Anyway, love the insanely fast skirmishes with your mod! Keep up the good work

Keep up the good work Not really, I like these ranges and I know people which they like them. At the same time, your change will show another problem, with thousands of ships in different heights, some of them will not be able target to others if the ranges are reduced. At the end, I have been modding this game from the begining, there are very few things which I have not tested and I find funny your request claiming changes in skirmiss because now it is too easy when before the usual request was how it was too difficult. Very ironic. Finally, your problem can be resolved if you make new skirmiss maps with less resources by example. Another very very very very big point. Some people make mods but they do not play their mods. I like play my mods and I make them because I like play them. I do not go to like exactly the same things than you and I do not go to make changes just because you have not the same tastes than me.  End of the story.

Alright, I get that. I was just kinda surprised when my space stations on Bespin where actually able to hit the enemy base. Anyways, like I said, I realy enjoy the Skirmish, so I don't get why people complain about it. Also ressources aren't a problem for me, since, like you said, people are able to choose their starting ressources. Looking forward to future updates

I like your skirmish there is nothing wrong with it. Everything a say here is an opinion of the mod. I enjoy both fast and slow pace games but to beat a match in 5 min or less is kinda unreal. Its still fun, but its more of a sandbox because you can't lose. Compared to mods like the remake mod, It is super slow in skirmish and is supposed to be realistic and can take up to an hour.
I only meant to have matches run up to 10 min not 20 30 or 40 min time on average. There are other mods for that. I'm not asking for realism either just for matches that don't feel like a push over.
I went against 3 hard ai like a breeze and it was fun but super short. In most mods this isn't even possible or anywhere near it. Anything super short in any strategy game or even most games ruins the experience. Just when I'm having fun the game ends.
I'm just speaking my mind here and you don't have to change anything I just wanted you to listen because skirmish in my opinion needs a rework to get more enjoyment. No complete overhaul needed. I only started playing the mod this month. I also don't know how to make maps. I don't too often anyways. If the aim of skirmish is to be like a sandbox match then I missed the point of skirmish in this mod. A lot of weaker ships are under used in this mod and a lot of them are unique.
Always looking forward to a new update. I just wanted support a claim for a more "serious" skirmish.

You should know that I do not agree with the 99% written by you up. -Most of the fighters in my mod and many things inside are as these things in the Xwing/TIE Fighter games, origin from many of them. The E-Wing has 3 lasers and it fires the Magpulse because it is more fun. Probably you do not know what is a Magpulse. The TIE Defender is one of the most powerful fighters inside the mod and there are many. -The power from the KDY Endurance so powerful as a Stronger Venator sounds me as one thing taken from nothing, the wookipedia full of bad things. -I believe that you do not know the origin from the Titan, Allegiance and Redeye, the last is pure fan, the first appears in the Dark Empire comics, the second can be seen in the Dark Empire comics in great detail but it is descripted in the Dark Saber book and it is not more than a bit bigger ISD without the hangar bay. In other sources, this type of ship is compared to the Tector but I have made the Tector as some less powerful by the description in the Dark Saber book. -The VSD I has missiles, three launchers. As it was showed in the Xwing/TIE Fighter games, it is mostly a anti fighter weapon. Even the ISD has a missile launcher. -The Executor, many people have not read the original sources, I have read most of them and I have them. In the begining the size from the Executor was from 8km, this size was told without compare really nothing and very probably it had a problem with the translation from miles to km. Next, more or less 28 years ago, in a cd rom guide named Star Wars: Behind the Magic, the ship was showed with its original model compared to the others models in films and the it was 12800 meters. After this, just the size was changed without any sense, probably just because it was more fun but without take in consideration how the Eclipse was smaller when it should be bigger..... You can watch in this video a piece from the old guide. It was not easy to play it again in a W95/98 cdrom.

I know you didn't agree but I just wanted to speak my thoughts. No i don't know anything about comic lore or anything outside of movie lore, so I'm just confused about the ship info being put out there and the lore along with it. Not a big fan of star wars legends but I am just a strategy player not someone who actually knows star wars like you. Not into the story or lore. Also that means I have no idea what is made up from what is real in your mod but creating your own stuff is always cool.
Maybe add maps with a few resources it would be a great compromise.
Thanks for the extra info about the ships and stuff.

I am making the skirmiss a bit more difficult but perfection is impossible and your solutions can not be made. They would not help. Reduce resources would not increase the difficulty, just it would make a AI building less things.

That's my point. Less craziness with reduced resources and may increase game time. Also just a little change in skirmish not any big jumps.
Keep skirmish fast pace.

I also noticed that AI can not use shipyards that I build in skirmish and I can not use shipyards they build if we are allied. Is this intentional?

You do not share shipyards. The skirmiss mode does not go to run if I would make your suggestions. I will increase the difficulty but not with less resources, in fact when you try this update, you will want more resources and very probably you will lose most of the combats. Anyway, I am sure at 100% how you are new in my mod, very new and you do not remember how the skirmiss mode was one year ago or more.

Your right im new, but thanks for making changes.
The ai and I were the same faction in skirmish both Galactic Empire. I don't know if that's a bug but i can't use a shipyard he builds and vice versa.

I know that you added turrets with movement to the ARC-170, so I have to ask if you have plans to also add them to the TIE Aggressor, First Order Special Forces TIE, and others? Thanks for adding these small details that make the mod even better than it is.
